- Andrew C. Torres, BMath
Founding Partner, Chief Executive Officer Andrew is a 25 year veteran of global fixed income markets, having managed multi-billion dollar bond portfolios in London, New York, and Toronto. Andrew is a former Vice Chair and Global Head of Credit Products at TD securities, where he held a variety of senior trading roles over a 15-year career. Prior to founding Lawrence Park Asset Management in 2011, Andrew was a partner and portfolio manager at Aladdin Capital Management in London, England.
- Jason Crowley, MBA, CFA
Partner, Chief Investment Officer Prior to joining LP, Jason spent his entire career in credit at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Toronto. With roles spanning across risk, credit portfolio management, and proprietary trading, Jason’s 17 years at BNS saw him take on increasing responsibility, ultimately rising to Managing Director and Head of Credit Derivatives Trading. Jason has an MBA from McMaster University and earned his CFA charter in 2001.
- John B. Young, CA, CFA
Partner, Chief Risk and Compliance OfficerJohn’s career in global capital markets spans more than 20 years with extended stints in Toronto, New York and London. Prior to joining Lawrence Park in 2011, John served as Portfolio Manager and Regional Head of Europe for Fore Research & Management, a multi-billion dollar international hedge fund. While at Fore he managed a portfolio of high yield and convertible bonds and oversaw global risk management. John is a former Managing Director for TD Securities where he actively traded a proprietary portfolio of bond and equity investments. John earned his CFA charter in 1996 and his CA designation in 1991.
- Jason Goddard, MBA, CFA
Associate Portfolio Manager Before joining Lawrence Park, Jason managed multi-billion-dollar active fixed income portfolios for institutional and retail clients at GLC Asset Management,a division of Great West Life. Jason was the lead Portfolio Manager of a Government bond fund and oversaw multiple specialized fixed income mandates. Jason honed his fixed income analytical skills as an analyst supporting credit hedge funds in Toronto.Jason is a CFA charterholder and earned his MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering) from Queen’s University.
- Kathleen Biggs
Director, Business Development Kathleen has been involved in Canadian Bond markets for over 25 years, with the majority of her career spent at Merrill Lynch Canada in both a trading and sales capacity, culminating in a position as Director of Fixed Income Sales. Prior to joining Lawrence Park, Kathleen was a Managing Director at CanDeal, the leading electronic marketplace for Canadian dollar fixed income securities and derivatives.
Conner Sura, BASc
Director, Business Development Conner joined Lawrence Park Asset Management in 2018 after further developing his sales and marketing skills through various roles at CI Investments. Conner began at CI as a Financial Services Specialist and quickly transitioned to the Sales team where he built and maintained relationships with retail investment advisors. Prior to joining Lawrence Park, Conner worked on the Marketing and Investment Research team where he was responsible for analyzing, positioning and marketing investment products to various sales channels. He is a level III CFA candidate and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering) from Queen’s University.
Daniela Knowles, LLB
Manager, Compliance and Administration Daniela joined Lawrence Park Asset Management in June 2018 with over 10 years of Financial Crimes and Risk and Compliance experience. Prior to joining the team, Daniela worked in finance in both the UK and The Bahamas. Her experience spans across various large and mid-size Financial Institutions including Investment and Corporate Banking, Broker-Dealers and Wealth Management Firms in which she improved and developed the compliance and Anti-Money Laundering programs. She is a qualified Barrister- at- Law (Inner Temple) and holds her BA in Politics and European History from McGill University.
- Sharon Liu, MA, CAIA
Manager, Fund Operations Sharon joined Lawrence Park Asset Management following an extensive career in fund operations and due diligence. Prior to Lawrence Park, Sharon was responsible for operational due diligence, portfolio performance and risk measurement reporting at Arrow Capital Management. She was a core analyst at two global fund administration companies in an operations, risk and valuation capacity. Sharon holds an M.A. in Economics from the University of Waterloo and has been a CAIA charterholder since 2010.
- Mike Trifan, MBA, CFA
Senior Analyst Mike joined Lawrence Park Asset Management in December 2017 with 15 years of capital markets experience. Mike designed, managed, and structured both passive and active fixed income portfolios for Canada’s largest asset managers including TD Asset Management and Manulife Financial. Mike works closely with the portfolio management team to identify investment opportunities across fixed income markets. Mike holds an MBA from Drexel University and has been CFA charterholder since 2014.
Michael Douramakos, BComm.
Analyst Michael joined Lawrence Park in 2016 from CI Investments Client Services where he provided multi-manager bilingual assistance to a broad investor base. Michael is responsible for cash management throughout the Lawrence Park Funds along with trade analytics and fundamental due diligence. He holds a B.Comm. Co-op from the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor. Michael is a CFA candidate and is fluent in French and English.
Sarah Chen, MFin
Analyst Analyst Sarah joined Lawrence Park with experience in fund administration and venture capital investment. Prior to Lawrence Park, Sarah was part of the pricing team and investor relation team at Citco. Sarah is a CFA level III candidate and holds a Master of Finance from Queen’s University.
- Sam Appasamy, BMath
Analyst Samuel joined Lawrence Park from CI Investments where he was part of the Bilingual Financial Services Representative team. Sam holds a BMath in Financial Analysis & Risk Management from the University of Waterloo and has successfully passed all three levels of the CFA Program.
